Wolves Fall Short In Close Chase

Ansari CC clashed with the Thunder Wolves in a closely fought contest.

Ansari CC batted first, with openers Sunny and Ali Rainbow getting the team off to a good start. Sunny's efforts yielded 49 off 30 balls and Ali Rainbow managed 26 off 22 alongside. The fall of their wickets brought the Thunder Wolves back into the contest. A couple of run outs in the middle, including that of the dangerous Daniyal Liaquat, restricted the run flow from hereon. Fareed Ullah Agha posted commendable bowling figures, picking 2 wickets for just 23 runs. Ansari CC managed 167 at the loss of 7 wickets by the end of the first innings.

In response, the Wolves' openers got off to a rocky start. Jannat Gull was dismissed cheaply as Saifullah managed just 19 runs. Ahsan at No. 3 then scored a striking half century off 33 deliveries to get the batting side back on track. His partnership with Fareed Ullah Agha seemed promising enough to get the Wolves over the line. However, the fall of their wickets was immediately followed by several quick strikes from Ansari CC. The remaining batsmen could not contribute productively to the chase as the bowlers wrapped up the innings in 19.3 overs, with Wolves having made just 151.

Ansari CC won the match by 16 runs.
