Olive Digital and Air Pakistan Express Jet went against each other on 29th September at Lawai Cricket Ground.
Imran Shah and Danish Munir opened the innings for Olive Digital, scoring 10 and 27 runs. Farooq Khan led the bowling attack and took 3 wickets. The batters gained momentum when Zeeshan Raheem came to the crease. He smashed 82 runs off 44 balls, at a strike rate of 186.36. Zeeshan remained not out and led the team to a total of 162 runs.
Najeeb Ullah and Ismail Shah opened the innings, determined to chase the score. Ismail was playing at a strike rate of 164.29; however, he got out on 23 runs by Waleed Azeem. Waleed bagged one more wicket, while Usman Shah also bagged 2 wickets. The dented momentum was stabilised by Najeeb’s 62. Abdur Rehman Sr’s cameo of 32 runs also helped the team in getting close to the target. However, the bowlers dominated, as the batter fell short of only 6 runs.
As a result, Olive Digital emerged winners in the neck-to-neck fight with the opponents.
