A Brilliant Chase by Titan C.C.



Rashid Latif Cricket Academy was the venue for this thrilling encounter between Rex Eleven and Titan C.C, where both the teams presented excellent cricketing skills and sportsman spirit. Rex Eleven batted first and were off to a steady start as Saquib Ikhlas and Hunain Maher displayed good strokes. Saquib scored 21 runs off 10 balls while Hunain managed to get 23 runs. After the fall of first wicket came in Umar Zaheer, who continued to bat like the openers. He lacked assistance from the other end as the rest of the batting lot could not impress. Umar scored 36 runs and with a few runs from the tail, Rex Eleven managed to score 138 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs. Usama claimed 4 wickets for 15 runs and was the pick of the bowlers.

Titans C.C. had a disastrous start as they lost both openers in quick succession. But before much damage could be done, Riffat Ullah came in to bat and steadied things. He scored 39 runs off 30 balls and made other batsmen play around him. But the response from his fellows was not ideal as they kept losing wickets, until Abdul Haye joined him and displayed calmness.Ahmed Karim took 2 wickets, while a wicket apiece was taken by Hasaan and Sabih Mankani. Together Abdul Haye and Riffat Ullah steered there side close to victory, and in the 18th over Titan C.C. won the match by 4 wickets.
