A massive target set by the Patriots all thanks to Atif Ahmed and his outstanding performance with the bat.
As the first innings started M, Ansar and Atif Ahmed looked to be in pretty good form and were playing quite well together. An early dismissal in the match did get the patriots standing on their toes, however it did not stop them in their tracks and that is when Atif Ahmed decided to play a wonderful innings by scoring 104 just off 53 balls and remained not out. We saw some extraordinary shots from him where he knocked the ball across the boundary a dozen times. Karachi Patriots set a total of 195 for the Hawks to chase. A challenging target to chase in a 20 over match.
The second innings didn't quite go as planned for the Hawks when their opening pair was dismantled by the strong bowling attack of the Patriots. Fahad Iqbal and Idrees Durani did put up a good show by carrying a strong partenership of 98 runs. As soon as the bowlers were able to break this partnership, the whole of the Hawks came crashig down one after the other, and the hawks were stopped at a total of 182 runs at the loss of 7 wickets, giving Patriots a 13 run win.
