Adamjee General Insurance came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Their openers Usman Siddiqui & Anus Khan were in fine form & they made full use of their form. The duo struck the ball cleanly towards all parts of the ground putting up a partnership of 50+ runs. Bot the batsmen were scoring at a high rate making full use of the powerplay. Anus Khan departed after playing a fiery innings of 42 runs off 28 deliveries. Once he was dismissed the bowlers managed to pickup a couple of quick wickets. Ajaz Ali came in & he looked in no mood to settle in. He too played aggressively from ball number one. Usman Siddiqui departed after playing a sublime knock of 76 runs off just 54 deliveries. Ajaz Ali finished the innings with a flourish playing a cameo of 38 runs off just 13 deliveries. Dawar Khan & Amir Aslam lead the bowling attack picking up 2 wickets each. Adamjee General Insurance posted a mammoth total of 22 runs for the loss of 4 wickets.
Askari Life Assurance came in to chase this target & were off to a dreadful start loosing 4 wickets inside the powerplay. The bowlers never let go off the momentum they picked up in the first innings. The bowlers blew away the top order not giving the batsmen any chance to have their say. The bowlers then kept on picking up wickets at quick successions not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Batsmen struggled to spend some time at the crease as they had no answer to such lethal bowling. The whole batting lineup completely collapsed & Mohib Alvi was the only notable batsman who managed to score 35 runs off 36 deliveries. Sarim Khan lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. Ajaz Ali, Shayan Rasheed, Abdul Rehman, Waqar Younus & Asad Khan picked up a wicket each.
