United Energy Pakistan batted first and were off to a solid start with opener Ultaf Rasool scoring a blistering 71 runs at a strike rate of 229. The rest of the team however stumbled througout the innings, throwing away their wickets, unable to take control at any stage. Adamjee bowlers Jahanzeb, Inaam and Babaruddin were merciless against the opposition, striking at key times and taking a combined 6 wickets. Umer was the only other notable contributor for his side, scoring 35 runs. United Energy Pakistan posted a target of 189 in 20 overs.
In response, Adamjee Insurance were off to a disastrous start, losing both openers to a wonderful display of bowling by Faisal Mehmood for just 13 runs. Jahanzeb Khan and Rehan Athar then stepped in to stabilize the innings, contributing significantly with the bat and building a match-winning partnership. Rehan Athar stole the show with a scintillating knock of 93 runs to guide his team to a comfortable victory. Energy's bowlers were unable to stop the flow of runs or take wickets regularly and failed to defend their team's total. Adamjee Insurance chased down the total in 19.2 overs.
