Adeel stars in Warriors win

Super Star CC Vs Warrior CC

16 Challengers Cup

Super Star went out to bat in the first innings and it did not go as they planned it to. They lost wickets in a heap and were off to a worst possible start. The opening bowlers from Warrior CC were in tremendous form as they ripped the heart out of Super Star innings with their fiery spell. Adeel picked up 4 wickets for just 11 and was the pick of the bowler whereas his partner picked up 2 for 24. The entire top order was dismissed for single digit score and their innings was going nowhere until Faisal and Ali came in the middle. They build a solid and much needed partnership for their side. It looked as though they were playing on a different pitch as the ball was coming on nicely and they were timing it well. Faisal scored 45 off 37 balls whereas Ali Shakeel scored 54 off 45 balls. It was a much-needed effort from the dup and it helped Super Star CC to post a fighting total of 141.

Warriors CC in response were up for the challenge and they were off to a decent start. Adeel and Adamjee on top played good innings to give a good base to the batting unit. Adeel scored 14 whereas Adamjee scored 34 off 23 balls. They both were dismissed when they were looking set, but it allowed Salman and Ruhail to come in, they also fought a little but they were also sent back to the pavilion when they were set for 18 and 14 respectively. Yonous Khalid then carried the innings forward and scored a very crucial 30 off 22 balls. The bowling was good in patches but when defending a modest total like 141 they were after a much better performance with the ball and in the end, Warriors CC won by 3 wickets in the last over.
