Al Baraka Bank defeated National Foods in a match held in the 35th Challengers Corporate Cup.
National Foods batted first and struggled to perform well. Both openers were dismissed early for scores of 1 and 6. The batting lineup was extremely helpless in the face of the bowlers as they skittled out without making meaningful contributions. Al Baraka’s Azhar Shah bagged a 4 wicket haul while Imran Dad Khan and Malik Aftab took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. The bowlers bowled economically and strategically to restrict National Foods to just 55 runs.
Al Baraka lost one opener for a duck but smoothly chased down the small target within 10 overs. Mukkaram Jafri made 17 runs while Muhammad Yaqoob swiftly scored 34 off 31 balls. National Foods were unable to stop the team from successfully chasing the target.
Al Baraka Bank won by 9 wickets.
