Al Zohaib Warriors and Chiniot Dolphins went against each other on 9th December at DHA Sports Club.
Batting first, Warriors posted a target of 180 runs at the loss of 7 wickets. Rehan Hanif and Owais Rehmani, the middle-order batters, stood out as they added 48 and 43 runs to the score respectively. M Zohaib Sohail, Rehan Anwar and Saqib Nisar bagged 2 wickets each.
The chase was opened by the sloppy efforts of Haris Maqbool and Daniyal Jamil. Haris scored 27 runs, while Daniyal lost his wicket on a duck. Saad Tahir scored 36 runs in an attempt to stabilise the innings. However, the bowlers kept on striking. Rehan Hanif bagged 2 wickets and the pressure on the batters increased. Naveed Nagada, Wajahat Nagada, Sadiq Suriya and Yaseen Quddos named a wicket to themselves each.
Hence, the bowlers marked the end of Dolphins batting lineup, restricting them to a score of 143 runs.
