Kalsoft Knights batted first and were off to a great start as their openers, Saad Maqsood and Mehdi Jafri middled everything and laid a solid foundation for their team. It was just the start that Kalsoft Knights were looking after in this important fixture. Saad Maqsood was the aggressor in the partnership as he scored 41 of 24 and he was supported by Mehdi Jafri who was not far behind in scoring boundaries as he scored 42 of 36. Both were playing good until both got run out. This was the point where Royal Group Falcons took full advantage and never allowed Kalsoft Knights batsmen to settle in. Fahad Saleem was the most impressive bowler as he picked 2 wickets just for 27 runs. Kalsoft Knights managed to score 162 in the end.
The target was a dodgy one, and with this in their mind Royal Group Falcons came out to bat. Alishan Aslam of Kalsoft Knights attacked with the new ball and was the most threatening bowler as he picked up an early wicket of Fahad Saleem and did not let the others to score freely. On the other hand, Kamran Kalam of Royal Group Falcons played a sensible knock to keep his side in the game. He was partnered by Khurram Shezad, the partnership was broken by Saad Aarbi, which opened a door for Kalsoft Knights and they took full advantage of it as Royal Group Falcons suffered a mini collapse. Though turning point was when Kamran Kalam after his brilliant 50 was run out. This left Royal Group Falcons high and dry and though they tried to come back into the game with the innings of Jalal Ovais but they could not as they fell short just by 8 runs.
