Rangoonwala CC Vs MAA CC (20 over match)
Rangoonwala batted first and were off to a top start thanks to Zakir Malik who went berserk from ball one. He smashed 4 sixes and 6 fours in his innings of 53 which came of just 17 balls at a strike rate of 311. He smashed every bowler he faced and did not show respect to any during his blitz. He was supported by Ahmed and Ghani and they scored 15 and 20 respectively. After the brilliant start, Rangoonwala wasted the opportunity to score big as MAA CC bowlers came back roaring and put the brakes on the scoring. The best of the lot was Sajjad Mushtaq who picked up 3 wickets just for 8 runs whereas Hafeez and Wali picked up 2 each. And even after such a brilliant start, Rangoonwala were not able to face their full 20 overs and were dismissed for 125 in just 16th over.
MAA CC had the momentum going into the second innings and they carried it well and even after losing one early wicket they were determined and the partnership Sajjad and Mirza proved it. They scored 48 and 49 respectively and at a quick rate. The partnership took the game away from Rangoonwala, Sajjad after his brilliant bowling performance starred with the bat as well and during his 48 he smashed 8 fours. His partner Mirza scored 4 massive sixes during his 49. Abdul Wali also played a little cameo of 22 of 18 to help his side get over the line comfortably only in 14.4 overs.
