Alliance Sports Vs SuperStart C.C (15th Challengers Cup)
Idrees Durrani helped his side beat SuperStar C.C with his splendid knock of 59 from 35 balls.
SuperStar C.C batted first and were off to a poor start losing both the openers in the initial overs The early setback rocked them back and they started the repair work on the back of Waqar and Hannan partnership. The duo did not take any risks and played sensible cricket in the middle overs to get their side back in the contest. Waqar with 5 boundaries managed to get to 30 where as Hannan scored 15 with 3 fours. Once the partnership was broken and both batsmen were sent back to the pavilion, Saad Dawood came in who played some brilliant shots to lift the momentum of his side. But unfortunately for SuperStar no one else could partner him as he was fighting alone and in the end scored the highest 37 runs in the innings with 3 fours and 1 six and took SuperStar to 124 which was quite low.
The bowlers did an extra ordinary job for Alliance now it was upto the batsmen to take their side home. But couple of early wickets rang the warning bells in Alliance Sports camp. SuperStar bowled brilliantly in the initial part and did not allow the top order to get under their skin. Alliance Sports needed someone to get them back on track and they found that person in Idrees Durrani. Idrees smashed the bowlers to all side of the ground and was the only fifty getter in the low scoring match. He played some marvelous and huge shots during his blast of 59 runs of just 35 balls. He smashed 3 sixes and 6 fours to take his side to a victory with 10 balls to spare.
