Alliance Sports Win The Last Over Thriller



Alliance Sports clashed with Dawson Stars in the 15th Challengers Cup. Alliance Sports had a shaky start as they batted first. After a dismal show by the top order, the responsibility was on the middle order which was fulfilled well. Muzzamil Mehboob and Talha Butt produced an excellent partnership scoring 42 and 40 runs respectively. Saad Ahmed scored essential 27 runs to help his team post a competitive target. Babar Khan was the pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets for 24 runs. At the end of 20 overs Alliance Sports scored 161 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Dawson Sports lost an early wicket as they started their chase. But they were back on track courtesy a solid partnership by Haider Ali and M.Ali Khan. HAider Ali missed his half century by two runs, scoring 48 runs off 26 balls. M.Ali Khan scored a brilliant half century and gathered 55 runs off 40 alls. But no other batsman took responsibility and this proved to be fatal for Dawson Sports. Talha Butt took 3 wickets for 19 runs while Rao Noman took 2 wickets for 14 runs. At the end of 20 overs, Dawson Sports were all out for 152 runs. Alliance Sports won the match by 9 runs.
