Alpha Lab outplay Karachi Diamond

Alpha Lab came in to bat first & were off to a disastrous start loosing their 3 wickets inside the powerplay. Furqan Ahmed & Abdullah Irshad then put up a partnership of 50+ runs taking their team out of crisis. Furqan Ahmed played the role of the aggressor as he scored 48 runs off 32 deliveries where as Abdullah Irshad played cautiously scoring 46 off 43. Hammad Shakeel came in towards the end of the innings & scored 24 runs off 19 deliveries. Noor Moten lead the bowling lineup as he picked up 3 wickets but couldn’t find support from any other bowler. Alpha Lab scored 143 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.

Karachi Diamond came in to chase thid target & were off to a decent start. Their openers Hasan Masood scored 21 off 22 deliveries while Tariq scored 16 off 10. Jibran Basini contributed with his 16, Iqbal Chand tried to pickup the anti but played one shot too many & got dismissed after scoring 17 off 13. Anas Usman came in next & played a very steady innings of 23 runs off 31 deliveries. Jalees Basini also managed to score 10 off 15. The bowlers were not able to take wickets at quick successions but managed to dry up the flow of runs & made it difficult for batsmen to score runs. Towards the second half of the innings bowlers then started to pick up wickets at regular intervals completely putting the pressure on the batting side & as a result the middle order & the lower order collapsed. Muhammad Ameen lead the bowling attack as he picked up 3 wickets. He found good support from Arsalan Ahmed who picked up a couple of wickets himself. Karachi Diamond managed to score 118 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.
