Amadeus defend 110 in low scoring game

Atlas Pakistan Vs Amadeus Super Cricketers (3rd Corporate Cup Champions League Eliminator)

A thrilling low scoring fixture between two good sides saw Amadeus Super Cricketers holding their nerves to defend just 110.

A nervy semifinal it was as two top teams battled it out for a place in the finals of 3rd Corporate Cup but in the end it was Amadeus Super Cricketers who after a heroic effort from their bowlers held their nerve to win by just 13 runs and with that they qualified for the finals.

Earlier, Amadeus batted first and started the innings in a reasonable fashion as their openers looked in good touch. Ali Naqvi and Adnan Moiz looked in good touch and they formed together a good little partnership. Ali scored 18 with 1 six whereas Adnan managed to score 14 of 12. Once the opening partnership was broken, Shoaib and Iqbal ran through the entire middle order of Amadeus picking up 3 and 4 wickets respectively. The broke the backbone of Amadeus innings and it was only due to the final wicket partnership between Khurram and Waqas that they got to 110 runs. Waqas remained the highest scorer with 34 runs whereas Khurram remained unbeaten with 18.

It was a very gettable target with only 5 runs an over to chase but the pressure of chasing in a big game got the better of Atlas Pakistan batsmen. Since the start they found it difficult to cope up with the pressure as they lost wickets at regular intervals. Amadeus also showed the spirit that they were lacking in their batting and all their bowlers contributed towards the victory. Shaoib and Fawad of Atlas Pakistan batted for a while and they were the only double scorers of the innings but unfortunately they could not save Atlas Pakistan as Amadeus Super Cricketers gave a super performance to win by 13 runs.
