Amadeus Super Cricketers Outplayed by Suparco



It was a one sided affair when Suparco faced Amadeus Super Cricketers in the 3rd Corporate Cup Super League. Suparco had a shaky start as they batted first and lost both openers in quick succession. But the innings was held together by Abdul Wahab and Rafiq Khatak. Abdul Wahab scored 21 runs assisting Rafiq Khattak who went on to score 40 runs for his team. After this partnership, the foundation was set for the lower order to blast, but they could not live up to the expectations. Muhammad Anwar got 2 wickets while Farhat Khan bowled well for his 1 for 13.Although no big innings was witnessed by the lower order, but still Suparco managed to score 163 runs for the loss of 7 wickets at the end of 20 overs.

Amadeus Super Cricketers started their chase with a duck for Shoaib Akhter. This initial blow caused serious damage for the batting side as the batting order collapsed. One after another, batsmen kept on losing their wickets and the hopes of chasing the target were washed away. Imran Qureshi top scored with 34 runs, while the only other batsman to reach a double figure score was Adeel Ahmed who scored 10 runs. Anwer Rashid was the star of the bowling lineup as he picked 4 wickets for 11 runs and was supported by Waqar who took 2 for 21. Amadeus Super Cricketers were bowled out in the 19th over for just 92 runs. Suparco won the match by a margin of 71 runs.
