Amadeus Super Cricketers chased down an easy target to win the match against One Step Diagnostic Centre in the 32nd Challengers Corporate Cup.
One Step Diagnostic batted first, and although they lost one opener for a golden duck, their other opener Alam Zaib played a great knock of 41 off 31 balls. Muhammad Waseem Alam’s 27 off 26 balls and Rizwan Ali’s quick 38 off 23 balls stabilized the team. The other batsmen made small contributions as well, bringing the team to a total of 157 runs. Amadeus’ Sajid Kath took 2 wickets.
Amadeus Super Cricketers lost one opener for 7 runs, but had no difficulty in bringing the game in their favor. Faizan Azam played a fantastic innings, smashing 75 off 26 balls at a strike rate of almost 300, including 16 boundaries. Zohaib Rizwan batted brilliantly, scoring 52 off just 19 balls, including 8 boundaries. Him and Adnan Siddiqui (15 off 9 balls) ensured the team chased the target within just 10 overs. The bowlers were weak and were unable to restrict the batsmen.
Amadeus Super Cricketers won the match by 7 wickets.
