Desi Food industries win a low scoring thriller

Desi Food Industries batted first against Ismail & Sons. Their openers gave them a steady start with Muhammad Ali Ganatra scoring 13 off 28 balls  & Hashim Hussain Vayani scoring 19 off 15 balls. After the opening stand was broken 2 quick wickets fell until Abdul Basit Mamdani came in & steadied the ship by scoring 28 off 37 deliveries  but could not do much as he was unable to find support from the other end as the bowlers kept picking up wickets in quick succession not allowing the batsmen to get a big partnership. A strong bowling attack lead by Ahmed Pasta who was exceptional with the ball giving away only 17 runs & picked up 5 wickets in his 3.2 overs & equally supported by Shahid Jiwani who bowled an economical spell giving just 8 runs & also picking up 2 wickets in his 4 overs & Ali Jiwani who picked up 2 wickets giving away 19 runs in his 4 overs restricted Desi Food Industries to only a 124 as they were bowled out in 19.2 overs.

Ismail & Sons came in to chase the total & were off to a shaky start as their top order batsmen were unable to give them the start that they would have wanted & 3 early wickets fell inside the powerplay. Wickets kept on tumbling until Ammar Mamdani who scored 24 off 37 deliveries & Aaqib Toberiya who scored 26 runs off 34 balls met at the crease & stopped the fall of wickets but the bowlers bowled at tight line & lengths not giving batsmen easy runs. After this partnership was broken no batsman was able to score runs for the team. Muhammad Ali Ganatra was the pick of the bowlers as he picked up 4 wickets giving away only 22 runs in his 4 overs. He was equally supported by Ahsan Vayani who bowled an economical spell of 4 overs giving away only 10 runs & picking up 2 wickets in his 4 overs & Saim Suleman Mamdani who gave away 20 runs & picked up 2 wickets in his 4 overs as well, made sure that Ismail & Sons don’t chase this target as they failed to chase down the score & were bowled out on 94 runs.
