Avanza thrashed TPS by 43 runs on 21-11-2015 at the Eastern Star Cricket Ground in a corporate battle for supremacy.
Avanza batted brilliantly up first, posting 172 on the board at the loss of 8 wickets. Sajid Ahmed and Junaid Ali contributed handsomely with their scores of 29 and 23 respectively. However, Adnan Hussain was the star batsman of the day for Avanza, exhibiting some exceptional pinch hitting. He scored 32 in just 20 balls under pressure in the death overs, including 4 boundaries and a giant maximum to take Avanza's score to 172.
In response, the TPS batsmen got off to starts but were not able to capitalize and play the long innings their team required. Tariq Ratni was the only batsmen who troubled the Avanza bowlers, scoring 46 of just 31 balls. However, his commendable efforts did not translate in to a victory, as TPS fell short by 43 runs. Adeel Asad was the stand out bowler for Avanza, picking up 2 wickets at an economy of just 5 an over.
