Super Daddy Cricket Club Vs Benitoz (ACM Day T20 Night League)
Herculean efforts from Umair and Mohib helped their side demolish Super Daddy Cricket Club by 54 runs.
Benitioz batted first and lost 2 early wickets which put them in early pressure. They tried to rebuild the innings with a little cameo from Rameez Mehboob but he was also dismissed for 18 to left Benitoz in deep trouble. The early loss of wickets created some panic in the Benitoz camp but the duo of Umair and Mohib did not show any sign of it. As soon as they came to the middle they played positive cricket and struck the bowl nicely. Umair was the highest scorer and fell just 3 runs short of what would have been a well-deserved century, he scored 97 of 58 and his partner was the quicker of the two as he smashed 71 runs of just 29 balls at a bewildering strike rate of 244. Their partnership demoralized Super Daddy and lifted the spirits of Benitoz as they amassed 198 runs in their 20 overs.
The chase began in aggressive fashion with the entire top order from Super Daddy looked up for the challenge. It all started with Shehryar and Maqboo’s opening partnership, the partnership was not the biggest one but it was quick which provided a good platform for rest of the batters. Rehan Shaikh then after the openers were dismissed took the innings forward with his fine 54 of just 33 but just when he was looking threatening, Benitoz came back and picked up his wicket and from then on it was all Benitoz as they came hard at the lower order and did not allow any of them to take any control of the match. The innings in the end was folded just for 144 and gave Benitoz an easy win.
