City Tiles and Alpha Lab went head to head at the DCCL Season 3 match.
Yahya Rizwan and Moiz Sultan opened the innings for City Tiles. Yahya got out on a low score of 4; however, Moiz stabilised the innings by smashing a sublime 78 runs. His innings were played at a strike rate of 162.5. Hammad Shakeel and Imran Chawla displayed equal efforts and bagged 2 wickets each for Alpha Labs to try and stop the flow of runs.The batters and bowlers of both teams played competitively. Cameos by Azfar Saleem and Faizan Shoaib added 40 more runs to the score. Hence, City Tiles posted a defendable total of 169 runs.
Muneeb Ur Rehman and Anas Iqbal opened the innings for Alpha Lab. Anas was successful in scoring 66 runs off 55. The batters clinched the momentum, as Kashif Naseem and Furqan Ahmed played cameos of 21 and 27 runs respectively. However, the bowlers gave a neck-to-neck fight. Jibran Saeed and Faizan Shoaib dissmissed 3 batters each and with pressure building. City Tiles did the unthinkable and stole the win by just 1 run.
Alpha Labs unfortunately fell short in one cracker of a match!
