Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) emerged winners against Shamsher Khan CC by 7 wickets.
The first innings were started by Shamsher Khan CC losing early wickets. CAA’s bowlers thrashed the batting line-up of their opponents as Umar Riaz and Aqeel Doger bagged 2 wickets each. Minhaj Abid, Muhammad Umer and Usman Usmani were also successful in bagging a wicket each, hence, restricting the momentum. None of the batsmen were able to cross the score of 20, smashed by Waqas Ahmed at a strike rate of 142.86. As a result, Shamsher CC posted a lw score target of 122 runs only.
CAA started the second innings with Nadeem Badar’s blistering innings of 43, with 5 boundaries. Though Iqbal Khan led the bowling attack and bagged 2 wickets, however, his effort was not enough to restrict the beastly batting from CAA. In addition to Badar, Umar Riaz smashed a 58 off 38 balls at a strike rate of 152.63.
Hence, CAA secured victory in the 16th over only.
