Southend Kings batted first and were off to a wobbly start as they lost Bilal in the very beginning of the match. With one down quite early in the innings, Hammad came and was looking in threatening mood as he smashed the bowlers during his stay. The rest of the batting line just motored along and at no stage they tried to shift the gears as they lost wickets at regular intervals. The only other contributors from the batting side were Zeeshan and Ali as they managed to score 32 and 36 respectively. The bowling was quite good and the pick of the bowling unit was Bashar Ashfaq as he picked 2 wickets for 17. In the end Southend Kings managed to score just 132 in their 20 overs.

Thanks to his innings in the end as Southend Cubs even after losing their top four batsmen in single figures score including 2 ducks still managed to chase the target down in just 13.4 overs. Asfand did not care about the other end as he smashed a brilliant 59 and scored the majority of the runs for his side. Noor and Haseeb took their side home with their partnership after Asfand was dismissed. The target was chased down with only 5 wickets down and only in 13.4 overs.
