Comtech Associates went against Karachi Fighters on 12th December at IBA Cricket Ground.
Naseer Khan and Raheel Abbas opened the innings for Karachi Fighters. However, they did not give a perfect start, as they scored 9 and 11 runs respectively. Noman Suriya stabilised the innings with his 59 off 40. In addition to this, Irteza Khan added 45 runs to the score, hitting 3 sixes and fours each. Hammad Sr and Binyameen Bhatti bagged 2 wickets each. Hence, Fighters posted a total of 201 runs at the loss of 6 wickets.
The openers of Comtech Associate did not give them a perfect start, as they scored 23 runs only collectively. Deedar Azeem, the one-down batter, was beastly with his effort as he smashed a century. He played a knock of 128 runs off 58 balls and remained not out. His innings came at a strike rate of 220.69, hitting 5 fours and 14 massive sixes. The bowlers were left stunned in front of Deedar’s innings.
As a result, Comtech chased a mammoth total of 201 in just 18 overs at the loss of 5 wickets only.
