BAHADURABAD TIGERS vs DEFENCE WARRIORS (RAMZAN TOURNAMENT)
Nothing beats the joy of cricket in Ramzan. A fun filled 8 over game took place between Bahadurabad Tigers and Defence Warriors in the Ramzan Tournament. Bahadurabad Tigers batted first and lost the early wicket of Faizan. Since then they could not accelerate at the desired run rate as most of the batsmen could not score freely. A decent effort by the opener Ahsan and his namesake in the middle order enabled Bahadurabad Tigers to post 58 for 5 at the end of 8 overs. From the Defence Warriors it was Faisal who kept the batsmen in trouble by taking 2 wickets and gave away only 10 runs in his 2 overs. Haseeb and Faizan managed to claim one wicket each.
Defence Warriors were off to a shaky start as they lost their first wicket for a duck. However the superb knock by Majid stamped Defence Warriors’ authority on the game. He scored 32 runs in just 13 balls. He was assisted by Ajju who scored 19 runs facing 8 deliveries. Ahsan bowled well taking a wicket for 9 runs in the only over he bowled. But it was just not enough to stop the Warriors from achieving victory in 4.2 overs.
