Eagles Cricket Club held their nerve in a close encounter to beat Team Falcon by 6 runs.
Eagles CC batted first and were off to a rocky start as Jalal was dismissed for 0 without even facing a ball. Hassan Zaidi and Kaashan then got toghether and batted for a while but soon they were too dismissed and this left Eagles in big trouble. Sheikh Huzaifa who was the pick of the bowler as he picked up 3 wickets was all over Eagles. In the end with contributions in bits and pieces Eagles managed to score a modest 117.
The chase was off to a blistering start as Shehzad Anwar (36) and Mehmood Shetty (28) took advantage of early overs and smashed bowlers all around the park during their stay. They both looked positive and were on course to chase a modest 117 before they were dismissed. Their dismisal gave Eagles a chance to comeback in the game and Eagles grabbed that chance with both hands as they did not allow any other batsman to score big. This left Falcon lower order with too much to do and in the end their innings folded for just 111.
