Eagles Cricket Club batted first and were off to a perfect start thanks to a fine innings by Kaashan Ahmed at top of the order. He was on fire from ball one and made his presence felt with 5 mighty sixes during his blitz, he scored 61 of just 31 balls at a strike rate of 196, he was supported by his opening partner Hassan Zaidi who quietly at the other end kept the scoreboard ticking and scored a run a ball 29. Once they were dismissed, Asad and Zubair took the responsibility and propelled the score forward they scored 37 and 29 respectively and at a quick time. On the other hand, the bowlers struggled for most part of the innings and only Anas and Zohaib managed to pick up a wicket each. Eagles managed to score 174.
Karachi Stallions were chasing a big score and needed a brilliant start and the openers were looking in good touch. Samad and Tayyab scored 15 and 17 respectively before they were dismissed. After them, wickets fell in quick times until Ahmed and Jahangir came in and tried to bring stability back in the innings with their partnership. Ahmed scored 34 of 35 whereas Jahangir was the aggressor of the two and he scored 32 of 21 balls. Unfortunately for Stallions, this partnership was not enough and they kept losing wickets Umer Chawla picked up 3 wickets whereas Zohaib and Danish chipped in with two. The match was won comfortably in the end by Eagles as they restricted Stallions to just 144.
