Eagles Cricket Club batted first and were off to a shaky start, reeling at 31 for 3. It was then that Zubair Ahmed and Madni stepped in to stabilize the innings and lead the recovery, each scoring 42 runs respectively. Saad Dawood of the Stallions bowled a fantastic spell, picking up 3 wickets and stumping the opposition. Eagles Cricket Club set a target of 158 in 20 overs.
Karachi Stallions started off rocky in their chase, losing both their openers for just 8 runs. A spectacular innings of 70 runs by Hassan Ahmed gave the Stallions a fighting chance. None of the other batsmen, however, were able to contribute with only Shezad Niaz (37) providing any kind of support to his team. The duo of Rehan Nazim and Madni who picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively, completely outdid the Stallions batsmen!
The match ended in a thrilling tie with both teams at 158 in 20 overs.
