Karachi Fighters went out to bat in the first innings and had a perfect outing. The innings began just as they would have liked it to as their openers, Kamran Hasan Khan and Taimoor Ali provided a perfect platform with their sparkling opening partnership. Taimoor Ali played a top knock of 66 from just 35 balls, he smashed 6 mighty sixes and 4 boundaries and he was supported by Kamran Hasan Khan who scored 27 of 23 balls with 5 fours. The run flow did not stop even after the openers were sent back to the pavilion as entire middle order chipped in with some useful little innings, and after those tiny partnerships Salman Khan at number 6 did the rest as he played a great hand, he smashed 2 massive sixes and 5 fours during his blitz of 47 which came of just 19. His innings provided a perfect end to the innings as Karachi Fighters ended with a massive 199 in their 20 overs.
Vanthali Blue were off to an ordinary start while chasing as they lost quick early wickets to good Karachi Fighters bowling. The new ball pair Muhammad Ramzan and Tauqeer bowled their heart out and picked up 2 wickets each and set the tone for rest of the innings. The wickets kept tumbling and Vanthali Blue could not recover from the early damage. But the best with the ball was yet to come as Zeeshan Ahmed bowled the most economical spell and picked up 3 wickets which helped Karachi Fighters to take control of the match. On the other hand, Vanthali Blue’s Aamir was the lone fighter as he played a decent innings of 43 but he kept losing wickets at the other end. In the end, Vanthali Blue folded for just 127.
Karachi Fighters won by 72 runs.
