Faisal Khurshidi leads Aga Khan University Faculty & Staff to victory

Agha Khan University Faculty & Staff came in to bat first & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing 3 wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a healthy rate. The top order collapsed as the bowlers were off to a dominant start. Muhammad Ahsan Zafar & Mir Afzal Baig were able to put up some sort of a partnership before Muhammad Ahsan Zafar was dismissed after scoring 10 off 16. Mir Afzal Baig was the lone warrior. He took the counter attack towards the bowlers but was running out of partners from the other end. Mukesh Rishi came in & gave good support to him from the other end. The duo stopped the fall of wickets momentarily. Mir Afzal Baig played the role of the aggressor in this partnership. He was dismissed just before he started to go all out attack mode. Mir Afzal Baig played a sublime knock of 77 runs off 45 deliveries. Mukesh Rishi managed to score run a ball 22 runs boosting the team to a fighting total. Zohaib lead the bowling attack picking up a couple of wickets. Umair Shareef, Khawar Rais & Abdul Rehman Sr were able to pickup a wicket each. Agha Khan University Faculty & Staff posted a total of 148 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

HBL Asset Management came in to chase down this target & were off to a shaky start loosing 2 wickets early on. Zohaib & Abdul Rehman Sr stayed at the wicket momentarily. Zohaib managed to score 9 runs off 19 deliveries where as Abdul Rehman Sr scored 13 runs off 14 deliveries. Once the duo was dismissed the picked up the momentum once again. The bowlers completely steam rolled over the batting lineup picking up wickets at quick successions not allowing the batsmen to settle in. The batting lineup completely collapsed as the batsmen had no answer to such aggressive bowling. Faisal Khurshidi was absolutely unplayable as he tore apart the batting lineup picking up 5 wickets. Aqib Nawaz managed to pickup a couple of wickets as well. HBL Asset Management were bowled out for 64 runs in 12.3 overs.
