Falcon CC came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Their openers Habib Ali & Talal Afsar were in fine form & they made full use of their form. The duo put up a partnership of 100+ runs giving their team a flying start. Both the batsmen dominated the bowlers from ball number one scoring boundaries at ease. The bowlers took an absolute beating as both the batsmen were timing the ball sweetly hitting the ball towards all parts of the ground. Talal Afsar departed after playing a sublime knock of 64 runs off just 42 deliveries. Muhammad Zohaib came in & he looked in no mood to settle in. He too played with the same momentum not allowing the bowlers any sort of breathing space. Habib Ali departed after playing a sublime knock of 77 runs off 47 deliveries. Muhammad Zohaib also scored a brisk 49 off just 25 deliveries. Once he was dismissed the bowlers managed to pull back things a bit as they then picked up wickets at regular intervals towards the back end of the innings. Zaryab Usmani lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. Falcon CC posted a mammoth total of 209 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
Future Stars came in to chase this target & were off to a dreadful start loosing 4 wickets inside the powerplay. The bowlers dominated from the word go as they steam rolled over the top order. Basit Baloch & Fayyaz Khan then showed some sort of a fight back. The duo took the attack towards the bowlers breaking their momentum. Both the batsmen put up a partnership of 100+ runs bringing their team back into the run chase. Basit Baloch went absolutely berserk as he started to thrash the bowlers towards all parts of the ground. He couldn’t be contained as he struck boundaries at ease. Despite of him scoring at such a high rate the bowlers had some sort of control over the game as they had done the damage at the top. Fayyaz Khan played with the same intent as he too scored at a quick pace. Both the batsmen gave their team a fighting chance as Fayyaz Khan played a fiery innings of 42 runs off 29 deliveries where as Basit Baloch played a masterful innings of 109 runs off just 56 deliveries but it wasn’t enough to seal the deal for their team. Salik Khalid & Abdul Rafay lead the bowling attack picking up a couple of wickets each.
