Fidato CC v Spartans XI (25 over match)
Spartans XI batted first and had a fantastic run with the bat! Opener Afzal scored a fiery 51 runs to set the foundation for a massive total. However, wickets fell in quick succession before Kamran stepped in to contribute a solid 42 and was further assisted by Sadaf Abbas who destroyed the bowlers, scoring 91 runs at a strike rate of 182. Dr. Kamal and Amir fought hard to take wickets and stop the flow of runs, picking up 3 and 2 wickets respectively but the momentum was always in favour of the Spartans. Spartans XI posted a mammoth total of 257 in 25 overs.
Fidato CC needed an extraordinary performance from their batsmen to chase down the target. Dr.Kamal and Furqan set out with the intent to win, contributing 45 and 77 runs respectively, stirring the momentum in their favor. Fawad Afridi did further damage, scoring a match-winning knock of 55 runs. Small contributions from the rest of the squad helped Fidato do the impossible and they eventually scored 258 in 24.3 overs. Spartans XI bowlers were unable to strike with the ball and were unable to defend the total.
