Fighters XI defend 150 against Hawks

Fighters XI Vs Hawks Fighters (20 over Match)

Asif Raza heroics with the ball took Fighters XI to a one sided victory over Hawks Fighters at Eastern Star.

Fighters XI batted first and made a solid start as their openers settled the early nerves during their partnership. Both played some elegant shots and laid a good foundation for the middle order. Faraz Khalid with 5 fours managed to score 35 before he was dismissed by Naseer and his partner Mehmood Raza scored 19 with 4 fours. After their loss no other batsmen could stay on the crease for long as Hawks Fighters came back strongly in the game with Rasheid leading the way as he picked up 4 wickets. In the end Fighters XI crawled to a modest target of 150 in their 20 overs.

In their chase, Hawks Fighters were a little cautious to start their innings. Both Hassan and Mubashir milked the bowlers and smashed the loose balls for four but they could not convert their starts and were dismissed for 12 and 17 respectively. After them batsmen came, got start and got out, the entire middle order reached the double figures but unfortunately for Hawks Fighters no one carried the team forward. Asif Raza on the other hand bowled a devastating spell and with his spell he put Fighters Xin complete control of the match as Hawks Fighters managed to score just 135 and lost the game by 15 runs.
