Suriya Fighter went against GFS Builder & Developers on 5th November at Rashid Latif Cricket Academy Ground.
Arsalan Amin and Habib Shoaib opened the innings for Fighters, scoring 36 and 33 runs respectively. Their innings gave a steady start to Fighters. Hasnain Deriwala, the one-down batter, scored 33 off 21. Sameer Jabed led the bowling attack, as he took 4 wickets off 4 overs at an economy rate of 5.75. As a result, Fighters were restricted to a score of 142 runs.
Abdul Aziz and Mateen Jakwani opened the innings for GFS, however, both were unable to contribute significantly. The bowlers dominated against the top-order with Mudassir Suriya taking 3 wickets. However, Shahbaz Aarbi stabilised the innings with his 33 off 25. Cameos by lower-order batters drove GFS closer to the target.
Hence, GFS won the match in the 18th over by 7 wickets.
