Karachi Club v Gigi Gladiators
Karachi Club faced Gigi Gladiators at Moin Khan cricket stadium as part of the 2nd ACM Gold t20 Night League. Karachi Club batted first and had a bad start as Faisal Butt departed after scoring only 7 runs and Rameez Mehboob departed after having scored 1 run and Captain Umair Idrees was dismissed without scoring. Aamir Motiwala with 17, Adeel Abbasi with 26 and Taqi Azad with 19 runs tried to get the momentum going but they all lost their wickets at crucial intervals and eventually Karachi Club was all out for just 108 runs. For Gigi Gladiators, Saad Dawood picked up 4 wickets for just 11 runs while Adnan Ghazi took 2 wickets and Kamil and Rafay got a wicket each.
Chasing a low total, Gladiators cruised through the proceedings as Adeel Khan got 53 runs off 25 balls at a strike rate of 212% in an innings which included 7 boundaries and four sixes. Karachi Club fought back by getting wickets of Owais Gigi, Adnan Salim and Fahad Jabbar in quick succession but captain Usman Yunus Ghani got 27 not out off 18 balls to take Gladiators home in 12.5 overs for the loss of just 4 wickets. For Karachi Club, Sameer Ahmedani took 2 wickets and Salman Dossani picked up a wicket and there was one run out.
Gigi Gladiators won by 6 wickets.
