Gold Bridge Media Restrict IMI Omar to 133

Gold Bridge Media clashed with IMI Omar in this thrilling 20 over friendly match. Both teams displayed great sportsman spirit and cricketing skills. Batting first, Gold Bridge Media were off to a decent start as Kamran Hussain and Mukhtar Ahmed scored 12 and 23 runs respectively. After the departure of openers, the middle order had to roll up their sleeves and take responsibility of posting a competitive total. However apart from Rizwan Qureshi no one else was quite up to the task. Rizwan scored 32 runs off 30 balls but he lacked support from the other end. Kamil Khan scored 18 runs in the later phase of the innings and made it possible for his side to post a reasonable score on the board. Badar Ansari managed to get 3 wickets while 2 wickets apiece were taken by Nadeem and Baber Qureshi. After 20 overs, Gold Bridge Media had scored 143 runs for the loss of 8 wickets.

IMI Omar started there chase in the most disappointing way as they lost opening batsman Irfan for a duck. This innings was a mix of brilliant display of batting and equally dismal display of batting. From one end runs kept flowing while from the other end we saw the opposite. Nadeem was the best batsman of the game as he played an outstanding knock of 94 runs which came off in just 61 balls. He was unfortunate in many ways as he received no support from his fellow batsmen, missed his century by 6 runs and was unable to steer his team towards victory. Kamil Khan took 2 wickets for just 10 runs and his fellow bowlers Abdul Waheed, Nasir and Mukhtar Ahmed supported him by taking a wicket each. In the end it was Gold Bridge Media who won the match by 10 runs as IMI Omar finished their innings at the score of 133 for 5.
