Gulsan Becks Vs Zahid and Sons
20 Over Match
Gulsan Becks batted first and were not upto the best of starts as they lost their opener quite early in the game. Kamran and Jibran then steadied the innings after an early loss. Kamran was the active partner in the partnership as he scored quick 38 of just 22 balls with 6 boundaries and batted with a strike rate of 172, his partner Jibran scored 27 of 27 with 2 fours and a six. The partnership was looking good but Zahid and Sons came back in the game with some good bowling as they few quick wickets in the middle to stop the scoring. Nadeem and Naveed both picked up 2 wickets and bowled with a good economy rate. But still the innings was ended on a high by some fine late order hitting from Waqas Khan who was supported by Kashif. Waqas scored 3 sixes in his cameo of 33 whereas Kashif scored 25 to help Gulshan Becks to reach 163 in 20 overs.
After a decent batting performance, it was up to the bowlers to do their job and that is exactly what they did. The bowlers from Gulshan becks never allowed the batsmen to get on top of them. From the very beginning the pressure was exerted on the batsmen with fine bowling. They were disciplined and were rewarded with crucial wickets. The most notable contribution came from the opening bowler pair, the duo of Atif and Zain, both of them picked up 2 wickets each and at an astonishing economy rate of just 3.25 and 5 respectively. This dented Zahid and Sons and their plans during the chase and though, some efforts were made by Naqi as he looked the only one to challenge the opposition with 47 of 23 which included 4 sixes but that was not enough as very less support came from others and in the Gulshan won by 20 runs.
