Zenith Associates batted first against Gulshan Becks in yet another interesting match of 6th Big Bash Cup. The man who stole the spotlight in the match was Zenith Opener Hilal Yaseen. Hilal played a resplendent and pleasing innings and scored 82 runs off 47 deliveries. His partner Rizwan also scored a fabulous 51 runs in 29 balls. Both these batsmen helped their team to reach a score of 199 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Gulshan bowlers thought took wickets in the end already got an early severe damage from Zenith openers. Fawad took 3 wickets being the highest wicket taker.
Gulshan Becks in reply tottered at the beginning and lost 4 wickets quickly. The pressure was then handled by the middle order batsmen Mujahid, Kamran and Shoaib as they scored 43, 29 and 39 runs respectively. But this was not enough to compensate the dereliction of top order in chase of such a big target. Gulshan Becks got bowled out on 162 runs. Rizwan and Arshad’s 3 and 4 wickets from Zenith played a key role in bowling the opposition out.
Zenith Associated won by 32 runs.
