A&B v Unity XI- Final
A&B played against Unity XI at SKBZ cricket ground for the all important final. Unity batted first and were off to a disastrous start as Fahad and Haroon were out early. Adeel Mansha took responsibility and scored 31 runs however he received little support on the other end. None of the subsequent batsmen were able to contribute effectively with Unity XI being limited to a meager 106 in 18 overs. A&B bowlers were impressive with the ball with Nadeem and Tahir leading the attack picking up 3 wickets each. They further supported by Babar and Haris who took 2 each and Haseeb picked up a wicket.
In reply, A&B lost Ahrar Ahmed early but the ever reliable pair of Bilal Chinioty and Humayun Alamgir ensured their team had a walk in the park as Bilal scored 34 off 25 while Humayun Alamgir was the star of the show as he scored an unbeaten 53 runs off 31 balls at a strike rate of 171% in an innings which included 3 boundaries and 3 sixes. A sedate 10 off 6 by Ahsan Shafiq helped chase down the score in 11 overs. With too low a score to defend, Unity bowlers were ineffective with only Ali Amin and Ali Amir picking up a wicket each.
A&B won by 9 wickets and took home the cup.
