Unity batted first with opener Fahad Iqbal leading from the front with an impressive knock of 41 runs at a strike rate of 200. The team struggled with the bat, losing wickets frequently, unable to gain stability. Bilal Amin and Hassan Ahmed also contributed valuable runs with the bat, scoring 25 and 29 runs respectively. Hush Puppies were trying to dismantle the Unity batting order and were successful in grabbing wickets. Faisal Ashraf proved to be the star bowler, with his amazing spell of 2 wickets in 2 overs. 2 run out also caused further damage. Unity set a target of 142 runs in 18 overs.
Hush Puppies were off to a massive start in the second innings, when openers Khurram Saleem and Asif Hayat contributed a combined 61 runs. The momentum was high and things were looking good for Hush Puppies before Unity's bowlers stepped up to rattle the opposition. Unity came out with a superb bowling attack with Fida Rasool and Daniyal Kareem making things difficult, taking 3 wickets each in their spell. Hush Puppies lost their way, losing wickets frequently but still able to put runs on the board and keep the score ticking. Eventually Faisal Ashraf's cameo of 20 runs guided his side to victory. With only 1 wicket and 1 ball remaining, Hush Puppies clinched victory by the tiniest of margins.
