ICT batted first and were off to a flying start as Talha and Ali laid a solid foundation. There was positive intent right from the first ball and both batted with fluency. They added over 100 runs together which gave their side a perfect boost. Ali scored 57 of 50 balls with 2 maximums and 5 fours whereas Talha, who was also the highest run getter scored 81 of 50 balls with 2 sixes and 9 fours. The perfect start gave ICT a chance to score big first innings score and for that Bilal Omer played a little cameo at number 3 as he scored 28 of 14 balls with 1 six. Bowlers found it difficult to bowl and contain the batsmen, they all went for plenty of runs and in the end ICT managed to score 182 in their 20 overs.
Just like the batting, the bowlers also started well for ICT as they bowled in the right areas and did not allow the batsmen to have a good beginning. Tayyab and Faisal scored 16 and 14 respectively at the top of the innings for Karachi Patriots but they could not score big just like other middle order batsmen who got starts but could not convert them into big scores. Shahzaib Ahmed on the other hand, was having a memorable time with the ball as he picked up 4 wickets for just 18 runs, he bowled with an economy of 4.50 in this high scoring fixture. Rest of the bowlers also gave him good support and other notable contributions came from Hunain and Ahmed who picked up 2 wickets each. In the end Karachi Patriots were restricted to just 130 runs and ICT won comfortably by 52 runs.
