KARACHI SPORTS vs IMTIAZ SPORTS (RAMZAN LEAGUE)
Batting seemed difficult in this fixture between Karachi Sports and Imtiaz Sports. Karachi Sports batted first in this low scoring clash. Their openers took some time to settle themselves, but in an 8 over game this can prove to be fatal. Ali led the Imtiaz Sports’ bowling attack with his outstanding bowling figures of 2 for 3 in 2 overs. He was assisted by Mursaleen and Zaheer who gave only 7 and 8 runs respectively, in their 2 overs. None of the batsmen was able to score at a high strike rate. Imtiaz Sports had a terrible start as both the openers were out on golden ducks. The pressure was intense when Sheraz and Yasir were on the crease. It was challenging for them to counter attck the superb bowling by Afnan, Ebaad and Zohaib. But they chose not to fall down and played sensibly. Sheraz scored 12 off 14 while Yasir managed 22 runs off 15 balls. Dawood joined Yasir and scored 10 off 5 to sail his team towards victory. Afnan’s spell of 2 for 9 in 2 overs was a class act. Zohaib claimed a wicket for 10 runs while Ebaad conceded only 13 in his 2 overs. But they could not stopr Imtiaz Sports from chasing the target in the 7th over and winning the match by 7 wickets.
