Ten Pearls got the start they were after when they came out to bat in the first innings. Their openers, Faiz Ul Haq and Ajdal Aziz provided a perfect platform to their team with their incredible opening partnership. The duo took advantage of every opportunity and were hardly troubled during their stay. The openers added more than 100 runs together at the top and at a quick time which set Ten Pearls sailing. Faiz was the most aggressive of the two and he scored 82 of just 48 including 5 huge sixes, his partner Ajdal was not far behind and gave him great company with 50 of 35 which included 4 sixes. But Ten Pearls even after getting a start that they got could not capitalize on it and their middle order tumbled as VectraCom picked some crucial wickets to stop the run flow. Khurram Zahid was the highest wicket taker with 2 wickets. In the end, Ten Pearls managed to score 183 in their 20 overs.
The chase was a tough one and VectraCom wanted someone to play a quick innings and their wish was granted by Kaleem, the opening batsman came out with an intent to smash every bowler and that’s what he did. He was terrific and at the top of his form, he smashed two monstrous sixes along with 10 boundaries during his effort of 76 which came of just 38 balls, he was supported by Shafqatullah Khan who scored 27 of 31 balls. With the opening partnership, VectraCom gave a strong message to Ten Pearls that they are up for the challenge. But if Kaleem was the one to set up the victory, then Abdur Raheem smashed the knockout punch. He at number 4, was unbelievable with his hitting, at a strike rate of 205 he scored 39 crucial runs with 1 six and 4 fours. And in the end, which looked a tough task at the start of the innings was accomplished by VectraCom as they chased down the total in 19.4 overs.
VectraCom won by 5 wickets.
