WONDER BOYS vs ZAMZAM SPORTS

This nail biting friendly match had everyone on the edge of their seats as Wonder Boys put up a good total on the board and Zamzam Sports left no stone unturned in their chase. Batting first, Wonder Sports were off to a dismal start as the top order collapsed. Just before things could go worse for the Wonder Boys, Abdullah came in to bat. He smashed the ball in all corners of the park and made life incredibly difficult for the bowlers. With four 4s and an unbelievable tally of 11 sixes, Abdullah scored an outstanding century. He had limited support from Kashif Khan and Daniyal, who scored 23 and 19 runs respectively. Akram Khan managed to pick up 3 wickets, Shahid Mukhtar grabbed 2 wickets and 1 wicket was taken by Khursheed Alam. Wonder Boys posted a huge score of 188 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.
With a required run rate above 9, Zamzam Sports had quite a task to achieve. They needed to play aggressively and the batting order did just the right thing. Despite an early wicket the batting order did not lower the scoring rate. Wickets did fall at regular intervals but every new batsman smashed the ball in accordance with the required run rate. Fida Khan top scored with 39 runs off 19 balls while Khursheed Alam stood second with 30 off 21. Shahid Mukhtar, Yasir Khan, Bakht Gul and Arif Khan were the other major contributors. Daniyal managed to pick 3 wickets while Bilal claimed 2 scalps. A wicket apiece was taken by Kashif Khan, Imran Ali and Sajid. It was a game in which none of the teams deserved to lose considering the quality of play of both teams. And the final result showed that both the teams were excellent throughout the game and cricket was the real winner as the match ended as a tie.
