Karachi Fighters beat Shadab Sports in a match in the Power Play Cricket Night League 2020.
Batting first, Karachi Fighters lost an early wicket but regained momentum as opener Raheel Abbas smashed 59 off 37 balls including 9 boundaries, while one-down batsman Naseer Khan played a great knock of 59 off 41 balls, including 6 boundaries. Noman Suriya’s 25 runs and Sami Ullah’s 20 runs helped the team reach a high total of 190 runs. Zeeshan Nasir took 2 wickets for his side as was the only economical bowler as the rest were unable to restrict the opponents.
Shadab Sports were off to a decent start but their batsmen struggled to put runs on the board. However, middle order batsmen Rehan Rashid (28 off 26 balls), Muhammad Nawaz (23 off 11 balls) and Hassan Qazi (28 off 26 balls) helped stabilize the team. Despite their efforts, they were unable to chase the target. Kamran Hasan Khan and Tauqeer Rafiq bagged 3 wickets each while Tauqeer Malik took 2.
Karachi Fighters won by 37 runs.
