Karachi Patriots were off to a rocky start with opener Atif Ahmed losing his wicket for 2 runs. He was closely followed by Afzal Gigi who was dismissed for duck. Tayyab Balagamwala however stepped in to lead the recovery with a fighting knock of 34 runs to keep his team's chances alive. His team however were completely outdone by an incredible display of bowling by Salman Khan who showed no mercy! He took 4 fiery wickets to dismantle the opposition. Faisal Butt, Rizwan Merchant and Usman Ghani fought hard with cameos in their twenties but were eventually unable to post a massive target. Karachi Patriots were limited to 149 in 20 overs.
Karachi Fighters stumbled early on, losing opener Kamran for duck. The team struggled throughout the innings, unable to keep their wickets intact or the scoreboard ticking. Patriots bowlers did well to rattle the opposition, picking up wickets at key times and limiting the flow of runs. Rizwan Diwan, Rizwan Merchant and Afzal Gigi lead the attack, taking 2 wickets each. Fighters batsmn Salman Khan was the only batsmen to show some resistance with an impressive knock of 49 runs which included 5 boundaries. Karachi Fighters eventually chased down the target in 20 overs with a wicket to spare.
