Eagles batted first in the all-important match and were off to a rocky start, losing opener Rehan Nazim for just 14 runs. Hassan Zaidi (45) and Zubair Ahmed (39) then took charge, with a fantastic partnership that lead the Eagles to post a competitive total. The remaining batsmen however fell to single digit scores and were unable to keep the momentum going. Hawks bowlers did well to contain the opposition with Idrees Durrani picking up 2 wickets. Eagles Cricket Club set a target of 153 in 20 overs.
Karachi Hawks opener Ali Mansoor was in-form and on fire, leading from the front with an outstanding knock of 62 runs to set his team up for a comfortable victory. The team stumbled for a brief period of time but recovered well with Idrees Durrani scoring an impressive 51 runs at a strike rate of 150. Eagles bowlers were simply unable to stop the flow of runs and were unable to defend their team's total. Karachi Hawks chased down the total in 17.5 overs.
