Karachi Panthers Vs Daewoo CC (ACM Day T20 League)
An All-round show with the ball and with the bat helped Karachi Panthers win against Daewoo CC by 4 wickets.
Daewoo CC batted first and were off to a poor start losing their openers very early in the match. This left a huge responsibility on Talha and Zahid and they both knew it, they both batted for a while and contributed with their partnership in the teams total but unfortunately for Daewoo they could not convert their starts into something big as they both were dismissed when they settled in. The innings was going nowhere and it needed a boost right at the end and they got it with the partnership between Shahid and Usama, they scored 36 and 24 respectively and at a quick time to lift the spirits of their side and give their bowlers something to bowl at. In the end they got 141 in their 20 overs.
Karachi Panthers had in mind that they have a target and they have to played accordingly to get over the line. The start was a reasonable one with Tabish and Asad getting some easy runs for their side and quietly build up a good little stand. Once they were dismissed, Umair came in and he right from the word go started smashing the bowlers. With one majestic six and 5 boundaries he scored 49 of just 29 balls and fell one short of his well-deserved 50. The game was getting close in the dying overs but Ahmed and Madni held their nerves to carry their team through to a 4 wicket win in 19 overs.
