Karachi Panthers win the high scoring clash

Karachi Panthers Vs Karachi Gladiators (Al Wakeel T20 League)

In a high scoring encounter Karachi Panther win comfortably in the end by 14 runs against Karachi Gladiators at SKBZ.

Karachi Panthers batted first and it was not the best start for them in this important fixture. Mudassir Ul Haq perished early whereas Rameez Mehboob was retired hurt when he was on 10. It was a difficult start for Karachi Panthers but as soon as Saad Ahmed and Hamza Ali Khan got together things started to get better for them. In T20 cricket one good partnership can put you in a great position and thats what happened with Karachi Panthers as Saad Ahmed with Hamza Ali Khan dictated terms on their own. They took their side out of the mess and put them in a great position, Hamza Ali Khan in particular was in threatening mood, he was the main contributor of the two, scored 61 of just 44 whereas Saad Ahmed played second fiddle role and scored 43 of 35. Both batsmen together contributed more than 100 runs in the teams total to take their side to a very good 188.

For Karachi Gladiators the start was same, Faisal Ghauri removed both the openers for 3 each and left Karachi Gladiators in trouble. Madni, Faisal's bowling partner was quite economical at the other end and they both built the early pressure on Karachi Gladiators. But just like the first innings a rescuer this time Rabish Ahmed joined the middle. His innings was as good as Hamza Ali Khan if not better. He smashed the bowlers all around the park and brought his side back in the game. He was partnered by Faisal Haroon who was struggling to get the boundaries and played a very slow innings of 27 of 29. Rabish Ahmed on the other end looked like was playing on a different surface and scored a brilliant 64 of just 32 before he was dismissed. After his departure Izat Shah and Adam Khalid got together and hit some lusty blows and both scored quick-fire 20's but unfortunately for Karachi Gladiators it was too little too late as they fell short by 14 runs.
