Karachi Patriots Cruise to Semi-Final

Karachi Patriots v Friends CC

ACM Gold T20 Super League ( Quarter Final)

Karachi Patriots batted first and lost opener Faisal Butt for just 6 runs early on in the innings. The team contributed little with the bat, losing wickets regularly, unable to fully recover at any stage. Usman Ghani was the only notable contributor for their side, scoring a blistering 31 runs at a strike rate of 221. Friends bowlers fought hard, taking wickets and restricting the opposition. Haseeb Khan, Shahid Ali and Iqbal each chipped in, taking a combined 7 wickets and causing further damage to the Patriots. Karachi Patriots were eventually bowled out for 123 in 19.2 overs.

In response, Friends CC lost opener Khurram Amin for duck! The team was completely outdone by a fantastic display of bowling by the Patriots who were relentless in defending their team's total. Adeel Abbasi and Rehan Hanif lead the attack, taking 4 and 3 wickets respectively to stump the Friends batsmen. Ibrahim showed some resistance and contributed 34 runs with the bat but received no support on the other end. Friends CC were bowled out for 105 runs in 19 overs.
